Stowmarket Half Marathon 2022
After a lot of rain on Saturday evening there was plenty of standing water around the course. This didn’t seem to put of any of the runners and the light was pretty good for photographing as well.
This event is hosted by Stowmarket Striders running club. Stowmarket Striders are a road running club with about 250 members of all ages (9 to 70+) and all abilities, from beginners to experienced athletes.
It seems that conditions were great for running PB’s. The biggest of the day was Kieran Clements of Sharftbury Barnet Harriers. Who broke the 2016 course record by nearly 4 minutes, finishing in a time of 1:05:21. Scott Williams of hosting club Stowmarket Striders was 2nd male in 1:12:02.
Emily Moyes of host club Stowmarket Striders was first female finishing in 1:17:44. Maddie Jordan-Lee also of striders was 2nd female.
