This year I had scouted perfect spot on the course where the runners would pass me 3 times. This enable me to to capture all the runners at 1.5 miles, 4.5 miles and 10.5 miles. After last years rain and cloud this year the weather was looking perfect for getting some fantastic photos. The runners didn’t let me down either with some high flying antics giving me great oppotunities for some dynamic action shots.

It was certainly a busy event and I shot over 5000 photos in just two hours. Always wanting to only show everyone at their best I culled this down to 3,353. I then set about ehancing and colour correcting each image before uploading them to my event gallery. I hope everyone enjoys my photos from this event.

Special mention for Pete Robinson of Springfield Striders breaking the tape at 1:07:57. In doing so Pete also broke the mens course record. After getting a clear gap in the first mile Pete increased this to around 150 meters by 4.5 mile mark. When he last passed me at 10.5 mile it was clear he had it all under control with just the odd check of his watch.

There were many others runners who also took advantage of the good weather conditions to set new half marathon PB’s.
